Background: Chit is a squirrel. How he came into Forestcat's service isn't a mystery. His family was slain by a human hunter that did not realize that they were in woods that were patrolled by a "guardian". The human found out very quickly that it's not nice to kill furry critters in Forestcat's woods. Seeing as how Chit figured Forestcat "rescued" him (even though she was only doing her job), he dubbed himself her "personal assisstant" and actually makes a very good informant about what is going on in the forest. Chit is also prone to overreact to things, so it's not uncommon to see him freaking out about something that's rather not that big of a deal. Attitude: Chit is very hyper and likes nuts. He also has a tendency to get drunk on wine apples. Squirrels are funny when they're drunk, they also don't tend to stay in trees very well. If anyone ever sees him falling out of a tree that's generally a good sign he's been into them again. He also has a very overactive imagination, and the wine apples don't help. Most of the reasons that Forestcat has to go investigate things he tells her is to find out whether he's actually telling it like it is, or has imagined something quite ludicrous. Chit also likes to eat bark on occasion. This gets very annoying because he tends to eat the bark out of Forestcat's tree itself which annoys her to no end. No matter how many times she tries to explain to him that bark is necessary to keep the tree alive, he still seems to do it. It's like a guilty fascination or something. He also has a tendency to try and hide his bark eating by blaming it on birds or other creatures. |
